We were looking for a budget hotel in Dalyan and the Cinar Sahil River Coast Hotel exceeded our expectations.

The hotel is run by a family that lives in the bottom floor. You may not get the most professional service, but they are very friendly.

The rooms are small and we had the smallest bathroom imaginable: a half-size sink, a toilet and a handheld shower fixture with a tiny space between the sink and toilet to stand to use it. It wasn't impossible to shower, but you definitely got everything in the room wet when you did.

The room has a balcony overlooking a river-side garden cafe, the river, the end of the dociks and the beautiful, ancient Lycean tombs on the cliffs across the river.

The cafe is shady and comfortable. The roof-top breakfast patio has the same great view of the river and Lycean tombs. Breakfast is the simple, classic Turkish breakfast of cheese, olives, cucumbers, bread and hard boiled eggs.
