We recently stayed at Manuka Lodge for five nights on a skiing holiday. . The lodge and bedrooms are super comfortable and beautifully appointed. Every little detail has been considered to create a friendly and relaxing stay. Breakfast is a highlight and a must! Susie & Alan's local knowledge was incredibly useful as we were first time visitors to the... more

Really beautiful lodge and a real home from home feeling. The guest rooms are cosy and well equipped. The finishing everywhere is excellent. Suzy is a great host and the breakfasts outstanding - I never wanted to leave the table - good chat, coffee and food. Best breakfast in New Zealand - choice and quality. Wonderful lounge with fire and... more

We spent three nights here in July 2009 and loved it. The house and room were massive but still cosy, and obviously very new. Alan and Suzie were great hosts, and gave us some helpful dining and skiing advice. The cooked breakfast is a big plus. Around an hour to Whakapapa, far less to Turoa. Would definitely recommend a stay... more

This was the best place we have stayed in in New Zealand. Everything was brand new and/or perfectly maintained! The room is fitted out like a 4/5 star hotel. The included cooked breakfast is just a wonderful bonus. The lounge is very spacious and comfortable especially with a nice fire to come home too. Would stay here again during next... more

Sue and Alan were excellent hosts, who created a warm and friendly holiday atmosphere. They were extremely helpful in directing us to the most enjoyable and exciting locations, of which there are very many in the vicinity. This all contributed to a most memorable holiday, well worth the long journey from UK, we would certainly do it again!! Dianne Batten. more
