OMG we have just got home from our week at the peaks....i read alot of reviews online before going away there and have to say i really didnt want to go......BUT i have to whole heartedly disagree with any bad comment i read! Great location, about 30 mins drive to Turoa ski fields. The rooms are pretty clean and large too. The beds have seen better days and are way too soft, woke up with a sore back/neck....not good when you're there to ski. The people at reception could do with some hospitality training too, not very welcoming or friendly to say the... more
We unfortunately booked a 2 week non-refundable package here. The owners are extremely rude. We were yelled at and also had a door slammed in our faces when we asked queried the internet vouchers purchased. We recommend for visitors here not to purchase internet as they tell you it is $49 for 1 week, only to give you 7 hours.... more
Thanks for your feedback. I have spoken to the managers and they said that the internet was functioning properly and that other guests were not experiencing problems. My understanding is that you were also given several complimentary vouchers in good faith. However I will be visiting the property this weekend to check the system and ensure it is running properly.
Clean, comfortable, quiet, well managed. We paid NZ$95 for a one-bedroom unit, which was good value. The kitchen was not the best we had in NZ (no coffee maker - fury!) and the cooker itself had not been dusted, but the kitchen was otherwise clean and adequate.
