The Tighnafeile House is a historic 1910 era home in Timaru that has been lovingly and carefully restored to its full character and splendor by Robin & Bev Jenkins. We booked a one-night en-route stay in late January 2006, which was a mistake since we would have enjoyed several more days much more. The House features large rooms with ensuite baths, a formal living room, sitting room, dining room and fabulous, beautiful and expansive grounds. Robin is a great host who has a long and varied business career in New Zealand and who can knowledgably talk about everything from automobile restoration to you-name-it. Bev's meals were outstanding!
