I was satisfied with the motel. From what I've seen in New Zealand, this certainly is above average. The room had a good heater and I had a comfortable stay. It was clean, everything was working properly. Included kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, etc. more
We have recently stayed at the Caroline Motels and while it is obvious that they are in the process of being renovated, we found our unit to be very very cold and dated, we had major issues with the lack of lighting, in the lounge and bedrooms. We had to stay in Timaru during a road trip. Firstly if you are planning to stay in Timaru but don't really have a reason to - I would suggest not coming! It isn't one of New Zealands treasures!
