After a very long process of finding the best honeymoon destination and holiday resort, we decided on Intercontinental Le Moan, Bora Bora. Through out the whole wedding process this honeymoon was what we looked forward to. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! We stayed in Bugalow #28 the (furthest one) - it's worth spending the extra dollars for the seclusion.... more

This hotel is a charmer. It is not nearly as big or "see and be seen" as it's newer brother the Thalasso, but we liked this hotel far better. The location is key as it is not on the private Motu. If you want to do any excursions, you have to take a boat ride from the Thalasso to the... more

We honeymooned in Moorea for 5 days and then went to Bora Bora for 7 days(May 3-May 15) The flight from Moorea to Bora Bora was great - fast and simple. I asked the flight attendant when boarding which side of the plane should I sit to get the best views as we arrived into BB. She said left. I... more

I've been back from Bora Bora for over a month and thought it was finally time for a review! We picked Le Moana for a couple of reasons and I'm so glad we did. I think a very important thing to know is the type of traveller you are. I know I wanted beauty and comfort without a huge resort... more

The La Moana is a good resort for a base in exploring Bora Bora. The hotel is a ideal spot for a couple wanting to be alone spending time together. The occupancy was much higher than other properties that we saw. This was probably due to La Moana being less expensive. Since the property is located on the island as... more

After very careful analysis of all of the reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose an over-the-water bungalow (owb) at this hotel and, after seeing many of the other hotels on Bora Bora, we think we made the right decision. First, we chose not to stay at any of the hotels on the motus, because we like to tour around any area... more

Just to get it out of the way, Bora Bora is by far the most beautiful island in all of French Polynesia. Well, at least the main 3 that everyone seems to go to. There are no words in the english language to describe the color of the water in the lagoon. I doubt there is anyone that would argue... more

Upon arrival, we were greeted with flower lei at the airport and a prompt boat transfer to the hotel. We saw the sunset as well as the whole island on this transfer. We were greeted by Pierre, the manager on duty, upon our arrival and were served refreshing fruit juice while filling out check-in paperworks. One of the hotel staff... more

When you arrive by boat from the airport you are taken to the bar area and served beverages as the hotel processes your check in. This was a nice touch. Once checked in, you are taken to your room, ours was an overwater bungalow #26. The bungalow is special, there is the coffee table everyone talks about where you can... more

From the moment we were greeted by friendly Le Moana hotel staff at the airport, to leaving the hotel boat at the airport to depart Bora Bora eight days later, we were made to feel very special indeed. It will be an experience we will be raving about (like most other Le Moana reviewers) for some time to come. Our... more
