We enjoyed our 2-nights stay at the Merou Bleu. We occupied all 3 bungalows of the "pension". It's an ecological property with each bungalow a bit different from the other, all decorated with natural materials, with much taste and attention to details. The beds have mosquito nets, the bathroom are very cute and clean (hot water only in one bungalow). The dining room -which also serves as lobby- is beautiful with a long gorgeous table in the center and lots of shells and other sea collections around it. The property is located right at the Avatoru pass where we could watch surfers and nice sunsets (however there's no beach...but that's Rangiroa, the only stretch of white sand beach between Avatoru and Tiputa is at the Kia Ora Hotel. Gorgeous beaches are on the surrounding 'motus'). Sonja and her girlfriend were wonderful hostesses, they cook wonderfully and always made sure we were happy. more
