Especially if you have an over water bungalow, this 'resort' is idyllicly located. The scenery is absolutely stunning and if you're looking for a quiet vacation away from the rat race, Tikehau Pearl Beacht Resort could be what you're looking for... if you fancy fish tasting like rubber, elastic bread rolls and prefer your bottle of wine to be opened... more

The resorts is packed with Hoenymooners (mostly italiens). The staff is overworked, annoyed, unfriendly and definitly not service oriented. The island is very small and the resort is overall missing somebody, who feels responsible. All walkings paths are concreted, the pool is tiny, the rooms are ok. Food is completly overpriced. This is resort is NOT (!!!) recommandable for Divers.... more

We stayed there for about 5 nights for our honeymoon. Tikehau is tiny (only 400 locals), but very beautiful. We were in an overwater bungalow, which was stunning and very spacious. Our major complaint (and that of most of the other guests) was the standard and the price of the food and drink. There is only one restaurant in the... more

After visiting many of the Society Islands, we wanted to try something different, so we decided on the Tuamotus. We had also heard that there was great snorkeling here. This island was like a dream—definitely what you think of a deserted island. It had endless pink sand beaches, beautiful sandbars, motus within wading or swimming distance, and gorgeous waters of... more

We just returned from a trip with our two children, ages 8 and 9. This is our third trip to French Polynesia (previous trips were to Moorea, Bora Bora, and Huahine). The room: The beach bungalow was comfortable and had more than enough space for the four of us. Privacy could be an issue for some as we were in... more

Tikehau Pearl Beach was an incredible resort. Accessed only by boat, it is a completely secluded escape from the world. The rooms (we had an overwater bungalow) were stunning, with polished wood, white linens and glass. It would be worth requested a bungalow at the end of the pontoon, as ours wasn't and faced back towards the beach and at... more

Stayed here April 06 in a beach b. Average experience despite the lovely cadre due to bug problem and limited mobility. Pros: (1) secluded and cozy (2) nice accomodations (3) fine sand beach allows you to walk barefoot in and out of the water (4) beauty of the site (5) stargazing Cons: (1) flies - the deal killer here and... more

WOW! We honestly don’t understand some of the negative reviews. We visited French Polynesia in May 2008. We went to Tikehau, Moorea, & Bora Bora. Tikehau was our first stop & by far our FAVORITE. This was our first time visiting FP. Tikehau is everything we envisioned FP to be. It’s absolute peace & tranquility; a SECLUDED tropical dream. When... more

Of all of the Islands I visited in French Polynesia this was the best. I visited Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Tahaa and Tikehau. The property is great - staff was very friendly. The overwater bungalows were in deeper waters and we did see reef sharks everyday - the snorkeling awesome! The glass bottom floors where you can feed the fish... more

After reading your previous reviews, we should have taken note of these and not gone to this "paradise". Unfortunately we don't speak French and your previous reviewer is correct in stating that they do not favor english speaking guests. In fact we were the only ones! My husband shoes were stolen from the pool area, and the response was "... more
