This place sound great on their web site with lots of positive reviews. However our experience was not that great. When we arrived in June 2005, the sign in front indicated vacancy and the owner did not know that we were arriving, even through we had prepaid the room a couple of months in advance. He had to check his books to confirm that we had a reservation.

The hammock is the only real place one could comfortably sit in the entire place! The only other place to sit was a wood chest! The entire place was filthy and the door to the unit could not lock! The extremely narrow circular staircase to the two beds upstairs was barely navigable and to make matters worse the only bathroom was downstairs.

After taking one look, my wife and I went into Valdez and booked a fabulous room at the Best Western.
