A great position overlooking a lake with the hotel grounds running down to the water. The rooms on the lake side have balconies. There are suites which are very spacious with two balconies. The restaurant was closed for renovation as were some of the rooms. If visiting the Anchorage area this is a peaceful place to stay and a forty... more
We booked a jacuzzi suite w/ a view of the lake. The room was supposed to have a microwave and mini fridge but to our surprise ours did not have the microwave. The jacuzzi was dreadful. It may very well have been the first jacuzzi tub ever made. It was missing buttons and was very dirty. Even the caulking around... more
When I book Best Westerns in the US, it is generally because I am looking for an acceptable, moderately-priced hotel with the convenience of online reservations and cancellation and the fairly liberal cancellation policies of a chain. Within those parameters, I usually get what I’m expecting, more or less. Seldom do I have great kudos for a BW, but most... more
just stayed 2 nites for a conference, 2 dbl beds, on the lake, nice view, beds are hard, and room needs redecorating. good maid service, and good food in huge glass room on the lake, but prices for food are high for all meals. nice staff. good meeting rooms. wifi thru out the hotel. free parking too. look for bargain... more
After reading the earlier reviews on TripAdvisor, we were disappointed in the Best Western Lake Lucille. The hotel is older and bordering on shabby; a renewal is drastically overdue. The lobby is cozy with a great fireplace, as another reviewer mentioned, but it is also dark and cluttered. Our room was reasonably clean, though not spotless, but it was also... more
I spent 3 nights at the Lake Lucille and enjoyed it very much. The lake view room was clean and well appointed. The small deck was a nice to watch the lake - lovely view. It costs a few dollars more than the non-view (read parking lot view) on the other side of the building, but it's worth it. The... more
We had a major event here, and the hotel was perfect. Staff was very accomodating to many small and large requests, and the location was excellent. Ask for the lake facing rooms, which have small decks with beautiful views of the lake, unless you really like views of the parking lot. The restaurant is good for the area, service was... more
I and my wife stayed at this hotel in May 2002 and still miss this place. The hotel is beautiful and the lake view is breathtaking with the mountains in the back. Can't wait to go back more
The prime rib was very thin, very well done and tasted awful. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and took a bite and spit it right out. I tasted it and it sure did taste rotten. When we told the waitress, we were treated very rudly so we just refused to pay for dinner and walked out. Prices are very... more
