We had a very pleasant stay at Rooney's Roost. We had planned on staying only one night, but the cancellation of our ferry provided the opportunity for two. Becky was exceedingly accommodating, relaying the ferry cancellation message to us (she ran into the ferry lady at the grocery store - gotta love a small town!) and adding an extra night... more

The owners of Rooney's Roost are great hosts. The breakfasts are incredible, including the coffee! There are always fresh baked cookies when you come back in the afternoon. You could not stay at a better place. more

I would go to Wrangell just to stay here with the Rooney family! The owner must have been a designer in some past life because it is homey and elegant at the same time!
