We just returned from a great stay at the Astronomers Inn. I am attaching a couple of pictures, to show you that the rooms are actually nicer and bigger than show on the B&B's website! All the hosts/hostesses were welcoming, friendly and informative. Each room is decorated uniquely and has loads of neat decorating touches. The bed was heavenly, and... More

Bed and Breakfast and private observatory. Ok, this is definitely one of the kitchiest places I have ever been. I mean every square inch of wall, floor, and surface has texture, color or kitch item...but that's ok. Don't stay here unless you are going to book a session with an astronomer! That's the real reason this place is so special.... More

You do not have to be a space buff, or amateur astronomer to really enjoy this unusual bed and breakfast. It is well worth the trip from Tucson and should be on any nature buff's list. It is more than an extremely comfortable and well run B&B but an adventure in itself. In fact, I'm sure that this is the... More

What an incredible find! This is one of the most fun places we've ever stayed in, my 10 yr old can't stop talking about it and I think it has sparked a real interest in astronomy in her. I don't think I've seen a more kid friendly place- and educational to boot! (adults will love it too) The Inn is... More

Had some trouble contacting the B&B as it changed hands but we managed to book the Galaxy Room and star-gazing for the evening on 25 May 2007. It is a lovely setting and I can't praise enough the teacher who came in and was showing us wonderful sights in the sky on the 12 inch telescope until 11pm all for... More

Yes, this is a great find! We also stayed just one night - and the stargazing was awesome. We lucked out and had very clear skies and had planned to be there during a new moon, which is optimal. This property has recently changed owners, so I hope they maintain the telescopes as they should. There was a problem with... More

We stayed here on a Thursday night in cold December with 2 kids under age 4. It was a fantastic unique experience, well worth it. We were the only guests that night and were coddled with home made cookies, a yummy breakfast, and the kind attention of the B&B Keeper. The astronomy equipment is extensive and our astronomer was knowledgable.... More

I stayed at the Skywatcher's Inn for two nights late Sep 2006. It is a fantasitc place with really friendly staff. You feel like you're at home. There's great facilities, including a big TV, wireless internet, the amazing 'learning room' and of course the telescopes of the obeservatory. I stayed in the the studio, which is an internal room with... More

We found the Skywatchers Inn by accident and decided to give it a try. This turned out to be a magical find! Skywatchers Inn is unique, charming and peaceful! After a 3 week road tour of AZ from the Grand Canyon, Sedona, etc this is still the most memorable part of the voyage for the ENTIRE family! The kids still... More

The beds were comfortable, the staff is lovely and the experience with hiring an astronomer for a session on the telescope was far more than we expected. The whole place was built with an eye towards comfort and learning. It is a perfect launching place for "active" daytime activities. We did a bird hike, Tombstone and Bisbee easily (though not...
