People come to Bisbee for the Bisbee quirkiness. This has none of that. Plus it's out of town. What is does have is a pool (one of only two in the whole area that we have found, the other being at the Copper Queen). We have visited the San Jose Lodge for 7 years now and have seen it go through its transition. The service is great and the prices are right on. This is what you would expect of a motel. Nothing quaint, but clean and quiet. It is out of town, which can be a relief during holidays as Bisbee sometimes gets noisy with parades and drunks, etc. The out of town location can be inconvenient; however, there is a Safeway up the street and a pretty good Mexican Restaurant nearby.... more
