I have been to the Cameron Trading Post before but not to stay. On this trip we planned it and stayed two nights. It is such a relaxing place and ever so beautiful with the garden area. My husband and I watch birds and this place had some that we have never seen before. The rooms were clean and large... more

quiet with breautiful canyon and bridge, esp at sunset and sunrise. However room is very average though spacious. Staff at front desk and restaurant not very friendly. Nevajo taco is the most favourite food in the restaurant (more than half) but seem most people don't enjoy it as they can't complete the meal more

We loved this hotel... though hotel is an inadequate description of this place. Our room had a view of the canyon (the narrow, eastern end where the canyon begins) through glass doors on one side and a view of a beautiful garden oasis on the other side. The room was very spacious with tasteful decoration that matched the look of... more

After a day on the Grand Canyon's south rim and a lovely (and quiet) drive out of the park, we were pleased to reach Cameron Trading Post, which was larger than expected. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and polite, but as they are all Indian (that we saw), it's worth remembering that Navajo culture is different to... more

No frills but very nice decore and an excellent location. The Inn is high above the Little Colorado is a nice property to just plain walk around. There is, of course, the trading post which is worth a look, plus it has a well-stocked grocery. Be sure to visit the galery which is in a separate building. more

My husband and I stayed at the Cameron Trading Post on our trip from the Grand Canyon to Monument Valley. The place looks really nice, the rooms are clean and is a great value compared to the accomodation in the Grand Canyon Village. Everything had nice decor (rooms and restaurant) and we felt very comfortable from the beginning. Our Queenroom... more

Really enjoyed our two night stay while visiting the Grand Canyon and then heading up to Bryce after check-out. Our room was clean and spacious and overlooked their canyon. It is really run by the Native American Indians, so we enjoyed getting to meet and talk with them at meals and it was fun to feel immersed in the Indian... more

I was concerned after reading other reviews for this hotel but decided to try it anyway for our Grand Canyon trip. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was large and comfortable and very quiet I had read in a review that the linens were threadbare. They were not. They weren't luxurious but they were adequate. I did wish I had... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cameron Trading Post on our trip to Grand Canyon. The place is very nice, clean and is a great value compared to the accomodation in the Grand Canyon Village. Our room was huge with a very comfortable bed, two sinks outside of the bathroom which made getting ready in the morning much faster.... more

Do not be fooled by descriptions about how special this property is, or by the promise of Grand Canyon Views. While clearly some of the original buildings were, at some point, very original and pretty, the "trading post" is now just one big unapologetic way to hustle tourists. And it is not in a pretty locale. It is better to... more
