Hello, I'm sorry for the confusion during your stay. With the continuing improvements of the Hotel, changes are always forthcoming. The Hotel is open 365 days a year so there is never a time when someone will not be affected by the change as it occurs. All guest rooms have been nonsmoking since Dec 2008. We stayed at Hotel Quality Inn in Cottonwood Arizona for two nifgts. Very pleased upon arrival not just how lovely the hotel looked but the receptionist at check in was very polite, friendly and helpful. Amazing rooms, spacious, clean and tidy. This place was the pitts. Light bulbs were no higher than 15 watts. Couldn't see in the room after dark. Rooms were dirty and had an odor. Never stay there again. Owners were very unfriendly and hard to communicate with. more
I am so sorry your stay was not as you expected. Under our Green program we have installed energy efficient lights and with more than 8 lights in each room, lighting should be fine. Stayed at this motel many times with no problems, however one evening I came back to find my room had not been made up. When I spoke with the manager she was VERY rude even telling me that when she travels she doesn't want her room made up! This showed me the level of standards (or lack thereof) the head... more

Please remember in-rooms safes are available for guests to use with their own code. Also, all rooms have self-closing doors that cannot be opened without an electric key card coded for your room.
We came to ride the Verde Valley Railroad and stayed one night in Cottonwood. Thank you for taking the time for your review. We are continually rennovating/updating all our rooms as can. We're working hard for the "Where Quality Counts." And, we are very reasonable--same type hotel in Sedona would be way more. We offer clean rooms & friendly services. I am sorry the wrong directions were given.
Often reservations in Sedona are hard to get or are very pricey. Having stayed in this hotel over 10 years ago, we opted to stay there again. How Cottonwood has changed!
