While the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, we did encounter some significant problems with the lodge. There was no security lock on the door which one opened with a key. These types of locks are very easy to pick. Secondly, the bathroom door was warped and would not stay closed. Beware of booking Room # 2, as it is right next door to the storeroom/office which was not far from the kitchen, and all the cooking smells seeped right into the room. Also, the walls are paper thin and since the room was located adjacent to the bar and outside deck, the noise at night was very loud.

On the other hand the bar and restaurant were quite good with excellent service and food. The view of the mountain meadow from the restaurant was incredible. We didn't see any elk or deer, but did hear a bear growl! We concluded that the lodge must be run separately from the bar and restaurant since the two were managed so differently.
