After a day of exploring Petrified Forest National Park, we were looking for basic but clean accommodation near the park. In Holbrook on I-40B there are numerous hotels - all the chains lined up in a row and apparently all built at the same time. We chose the Comfort Inn as it seemed to be the best value (some of... more

What can I say... It's a comfortable and very quiet for a over night stay from the freeway traveling. Other reviews of this motel. The room were very cozy and very clean. Not much of channels on t.v. but it had a microwave and small fridge. Which made my extended stay easy on my wallet. The motel has a small... more

We found this place to be comfortable and adequate for our purposes. The bed was comfortable, the room was dark and quiet, the bathroom clean, and the shower had good water pressure and temperature. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer in the room. Not beautiful, but not bad, and the owner gave us the AAA... more

After visiting the Petrified Forest, we stopped here for one night on our cross-country trip. There was no elevator, so we settled for a first floor room, making it easy to unload the car. Some wallpaper was peeling and there were some mold problems, but it looked llike they were trying to keep it clean. There were only two other... more

We were dead tired after spending the day driving and then walking around in the painted desert. We needed a place to sleep. There were only two nice things about our room. 1, The window coverings blocked out the outside light very well. 2, The continental breakfast was good and had some choices for us with wheat allergies. We left... more

Overnight stay on a quick cross-country trip. About average for a AAA two-diamond rated facility, I suppose. In need of upgrading and more thorough cleaning. Breakfast was also just ok. I usually do not stay at two-diamond properties, but there are precious few other choices along this 150 mile stretch of I-40 through eastern Arizona and western New Mexico. To... more

On a recent trip passing through Holbrook on I-40, we decided to stay at the Comfort Inn since I have a "Choice Hotels number." My first red flag should have been that it does not have interior corridors. As soon as we got to our room we turned on the A/C since it was about 90 degrees in the room.... more

Stayed here with my Mom after visiting the Petrified Forest Nat'l Park. Average hotel. Bathroom was very clean, and the rooms were your average run of the mill hotel/motel style rooms with typical hotel beds with a slight sag and dark polyester comforters thrown over thinning bed linens/blankets. The room had dark red carpet and dark red comforters so it... more

We stayed at the Comfort In in Holbrook on our way cross country. The hotel was fine, except the toilet did not work well at all. It wouldn't flush properly. It was such a pain. My friend bought the room and I wanted her to switch it, but after driving for 13+ hours a day, we dealt with it using... more

We stayed here on a trip around the Southwest. We had so much to do in AZ and NM, that we made our driving lengths shorter and stayed a few more nights. We decided to stay here because it was a good distance between our two stops. This was the worst Comfort Inn I have ever stayed in. The beds... more
