This is a lodge that has many older and smaller cabins. The newer cabins are nice but cost 50% more. The older cabins are dumpy--and that is a complement! Our cabin was dirty, the shower dribbled out the water, doors had gaps of 1/2 inch to the outside. Thus, you have no security for you or your possessions. They allow... more

Stayed just one night while visiting the North Rim. The cabin was clean and the location was quiet. The staff was very friendly and had our extra rollaway bed all set up when we got there. Breakfast was good and we would stay there again. more

We ended up here because there was nothing else available. During our phone call making arrangements the hostess said we would be in a cabin which turned out to be a fourplex, upon arrival at our "cabin" we were greeted kindly and given directions to our cabin $ 150.00 gets you a bed not a good one but a bed,... more

Great location obviously BUT was it just us or do the staff all seem to hate each other. Maybe its that end of the season feeling but we never felt welcome in this property. Such a shame as we have such great memories of the Grand Canyon. The cabins were adequate - you can't expect luxury in the woods. But... more

The people running Kaibab were nice but a bit disorganized. The location, 18 miles from the entrance to the Grand Canyon's north rim, is excellent, but the accomodations were less than great. For $90/night I expect to have enough room to open a suitcase and a shower that doesn't leak, neither of which was true of our cabin. If the... more

Kaibab Lodge is really too expensive for what it offers: basic rooms with no television, no fridge, no air conditioning, no Wi-Fi in the room. The log cabins are nice but not clean. The food was horrible: the worst steak and chicken we have ever eaten. No joke! The steak had no taste at all and looked like boiled, the... more

The location is great. That is why we stayed there. But if there was another hotel or anything nearby we would have checked out upon entering the room. It was filthy and it was obvious that the floors had not been swept or cleaned in a long time. Bugs were in the room - but hey its a lodge so... more

We only stayed here because we couldn't book a 2nd night at North Rim Lodge in advance. I wasn't expecting much, but even if you're only spending $100/night, you shouldn't have a room barely big enough to walk around one side of the bed, cracked linoleum tiles in the bathroom, creaking under your weight, a bed that's too small for... more

OK first thing we did was clean the toilet, as there was urine on the rim of the toilet. Then we tried to use the kitchenette sink, only to discover the water lines had been disconnected. Staff was not real courteous; I guess they figured they got our money already. Following morning about 8:30am we thought about trying their breakfast,... more

Kaibab Lodge is a quiet, serene place to stay about 18 miles outside the Grand Canyon. We were in a Deer View cabin and it was very clean, nice, and roomy, The food at the restaurant lodge was simple, but delicious and hit the spot! I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Grand Canyon! more
