Putting aside all the many excellent aspects of this Country House, which have been commented upon by many other reviewers, it is also well located to visit lots of attractions along the Garden Route. If you looking to stay somewhere in glorious surroundings and with a fair slice of luxury, then this place is a must. more

Unfortunately I only stayed at Hunters Country House for 3 nights. Next time I will stay for longer and take advantage of the beautiful gardens and grounds, not to mention lovely swimming pool and peaceful, relaxing surrounds. A really lovely, charming hotel. The breakfasts are really good. The grounds are gorgeous and the cottages absolutely beautiful. Plettenburg Bay itself is worth more than a two day stop on the garden route- we could easily have stayed there a week and still found lots to do. more

The hotel with style, privacy, and where the staff have throught of everything. Gardens extensive and superb, guest cottages luxurious, restaurant out of this world. Well , what can I say that the previous review hasn't. Fabulous. Arrived after a long journey from Shamwari, even before we entered Hunters the security man was bright, eager to please and very happy to greet us. Reception was equally as welcoming and a guided tour of the house followed. Lovely complimentary glass of wine to get us back... more
