Wonderful hotel, had upgraded rooms with wonderful ocean views. Made to feel very well, food in restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. Would recommend to any one. Rooms very well decorated and very comfortable beds -with hot water bottles! more

At the end of our garden route tour we selected this hotel since it is featured in "1000 places to see before you die". It is a lovely, peaceful place right on a cliff overlooking the bay that is well known for different species of whales. We stayed at the Plettenberg after a disappointing 3 nights at the Lanzerac in Stellenbosch. What a delight ! We had an executive suite for 3 nights which overlooked the bay and pool.
