The bayview hotel has an execellent location on Plettenbergs main road. Althought the main road causes noise, it gets pretty quiet at night and we only noticed it in the morning. Just returned from a nights stay at the Bayview Hotel, 1 night was enough! The room was basic, but clean. We were allocated a room at the front of hotel, with excellent views and a balcony. However the room was at the front of the hotel and the windows / doors are single glazed, thus all through the night roaring... more

Little else available at the end of the sesaon in Plettenberg Bay. Rooms were functional. First morning we had to move bedroom because the sewage came up the toilet and the smell was unbearable. Staff acted promptly and moved us. Second night, the night porter gave the key of our room to other guests and they burst through the door... more
