We stayed for one night in June 2009. We arrive early evening after our car had broken down in Monument Valley, and to be honest, we were in the mood to pick a fight with anyone. However, before we even booked in they sent out the maintenance guy to help me witha running repair (Thank you, Joe!) and helped us... more

I stayed here for two nights in June only because it was the cheapest hotel in the area for Holiday In reward points (15K instead of 25K). Having heard and read of the problems here I wasn't expecting much. I met the surly receptionist and the more pleasant one but neither gave me any grief. We did dine in the... more

Stayed a reasonably pleasant night there on May 27th, 2009. Although it seemed expensive at $140 for what is effectively a motel, the bed was comfortable, and the alternatives were limited. Upon check-out, I was told 3 movies were being charged to my room. That would've been fine if I'd actually watched 3 movies. In fact, I hadn't watched any.... more

One of the front desk clerks was very unfriendly and curt. Never did find an ice machine. No refrigerator. Very limited dining choices unless you like McDonald's. No pharmacy within 100 miles, so don't get sick. A tour bus actually backed his exhaust up to our air conditioning unit and across handicapped parking while he loaded!! more

Room door was bent and would not open easily. Next morning both our keys and 2 replacement keys would not work. Maid and maintenance guy key would not work. After 40 minutes, they had to break into my room to get my luggage out. It appears that this has happened several times before based on the damage around the door... more

There are three hotel chains in Kayenta : Hampton Inn (Hilton), Holiday Inn (Intercontinental ) and Best Western. Hampton Inn was fully booked so I chose Holiday Inn. I stayed here for few weeks and this is my review. I got the room with the interior access (room has two categories : interior and exterior access) and faced the mountain... more

On a long road trip round SouthWest USA this hotel was one of the low points of the holiday. The biggest problem here is the staff who are rude, uninterested and pretty useless. We turned up in the evening and were greeted by a surly receptionist who couldn't seem to care less whether we were paying guests or not (as... more

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2008, this was the worst hotel during a 16 day trip. When we arrived we were an hour early they refused to book us in till the exact time, along with other travellers, this was the only time this happend. The staff appeared to go out of there way to... more

We (myself and two kids) stayed at the Holiday Inn Kayenta for one night, 29th October, to visit Monument Valley. We wanted to book Goulding’s Lodge, but it wasn’t available on our tour. As it happens, apart from a short drive it wasn’t any better sited than the place we booked, so we lost nothing. Our Satnav, didn’t have the... more
