The Golf Lodge proved to be a great choice for a 1 night stopover in Bloem. The lodge is located on Milner Rd, which is one of the main arterial roads heading north out of the city, but is only 10 minutes or so drive from the CBD. The local area is mainly full of large detached houses and smart apartment blocks. The Golf Lodge is well sign-posted and easy enough to spot from Milner Rd.

There was plenty of secure parking inside the fence, and our room (the Turnberry) had a sliding door we could open to get our luggage in and out of the car without having to go through reception and down the corridor. We were slightly disappointed with the room at first sight, as we had booked a double room and all we could see were two single beds. We then realised our room was actually a suite, with 2 bedrooms (the other being a double) and a good sized shower-room (no bath though). Each bedroom had its own TV/DVD/VCR and aircon.
