We stayed at the 5th avenue location and were initially very pleased with the guesthouse. The rooms are beautifully decorated and staff were friendly. However, within minutes we realized the hot water ran out before the bathtub could be filled (there was no shower), there was internet or cable TB, despite their heavy advertisement of these services, there was only a single set of keys available so we had to leave it with the staff every time we left the hotel (including the key to the safe!), and there was no access to the manager/owner if anything was amiss because outgoing calls required a special pin that was never shared with us! The car park situation was terribly mismanaged. We were promised a parking space but discovered at midnight, after returning from a lovely evening in Melville, that our spot was occupied by another tenant. As a result, we had to ship our entire room to the guesthouse's other location, at 1 a.m., five streets away! We agreed only because the owner promised... more
