My family stayed at Avondhu Guest House for just one night while passing through Johannesburg. It is located in a very nice area of town. Upon arrival, the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and the breakfast the next morning was very good. We had no complaints.

I have stayed at Avondhu several times in recent years, and always found the service to be excellent, the rooms to be very comfortable and the owners to go out of their way to be of assistance. I would highly recommend anyone staying there, whether for business or pleasure or both.

We have been lucky enough to stay in the Avondhu guesthouse twice and the second visit felt like we were going home. Dea is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I stayed at Avondhu for a week while working in Johannesburg and would highly recommend it to anyone visit the city, whether for business or pleasure. The breakfasts were fantastic, the facilities clean and the hosts warm and welcoming!
