I just cannot without good conscience say anything positive about this place. Will start with the worst first as people deciding to stay here should know. If you like dishonest people who trash talk you behind your back then this is the place for you! I've read most of the reviews on here for this location, I guess I'm the first person they are now attempting to steal from their guests. I am dead serious. I've been trying my best to get the $60 they stole from me back. I reached out to Hotels.com and it didn't take them long to side with the motel. I get a lovely email back saying that they sided with the motel and that I STOLE two pillows and damaged the room (how could you tell the place is so run down) So I decided to go through Ramada and guess what, they sided with the MOTEL too. These people can't even get their story straight when stealing from their customers. So Ramada gets back to me and says I stole the coffee maker and two pillows. Isn't it interesting how damage to the room is now me stealing a coffee maker? This location billed me for $60 in damages which I am currently fighting. Do not book through a third party site here unless you have money to burn, only do it through their site directly. I've been informed I will get my $60 back. Hope that happens before I drive back and go through Kingman again. I hope they at least refund me the $60 and they can keep the other $100, I really don't want to file a police report before driving back east. So we will see. Now onto the review! It's not pretty folks! So I got trapped out with many other drivers in the middle of nowhere in blizzard conditions for hours. I arrived at the hotel at around 5am, with over 21 hours of driving and being stuck in my car waiting for emergency services to get out to us. So I'm barely conscious, by myself, had to carry two heavy suitcases up the stairs only to find the card reader lock on my door was broken. It blinked green or made locking sounds, I tried and hoped I could just get into the room and sleep. Ended up lugging everything back down to the lobby you can't get to by indoor means. I overhear the person at the front desk say 2nd floor and I asked for a ground level room. Since I arrived so late I knew they offered a $20 fee for late checkout at 2pm which was great, I could get a full rest before driving another 1200+ miles. So drive back, get in the room, I'm so dead tired I set up my CPAP, used the toilet and passed out in the bed. At around 11:45am a male employee fist knocked on my door and told me checkout was at 11am and I'm in the room still and tells me I didn't pay for the late checkout. I insisted many times I did but I didn't want to get dressed and drive around to the front, it defeated me getting those 3 precious hours of sleep on the less than 5 I got. Not long after the guy returns and is now angry at me. He said there is nothing on the bill about the late checkout. I said I would straighten it out on checkout and then this is where they started treating me like garbage. I am then accused by this person that I never actually paid for the late checkout fee and I was trying to take advantage of them and get the service for free. He wouldn't hear it, I had to be out of the room within 15 minutes. Isn't that nice? Not even 5 hours of sleep, they seemingly are incompetent but after reading so many of the reviews here it feels more intentional on their part. I didn't even have time for a shower, I got out as fast as I could and put on the previous day's clothes. So I went to the lobby and handed my keys over and said I wanted to make a complaint. They wanted to know why. Basically it boils down to the fact that the overnight woman staffing the front desk must have forgotten to attach the $20 late checkout fee and didn't carry it over to the new room for some reason. This is when the two women at the front desk discussed and did not rule out that that might have been why the charge wasn't on the new room I was given. I filled their complaint sheet out and was all probably nothing will come of this. Oh they take complaints seriously. Then they did something I just couldn't let slide... I get an apology that was so hollow, apologizing to me that they are sorry I didn't get the service that Ramada is known for, I didn't accept that because it didn't address anything! I said I had to drive 1200+ miles today completely exhausted with just over 4 1/2 hours of sleep. You always hear to stop and stay at a hotel and get rest if you are sleepy behind the wheel. Well I tried to do that. I left after saying it's not them that has to be awake and alert so they don't pass out at the wheel because these people want your wallet not your patronage. So constant stops, energy drinks and lots of caffeine for me. I eventually arrived safely with a lovely migraine. When I woke up after sleeping 12+ hours at my destination I noticed a second charge on my card for $60. As referred to at the start, it was for me stealing 2 of their crappy, small, well used pillows. As for the second accusation, well they weren't very good at lying to Hotels.com and directly with Ramada. Which is it? First I damaged the room and stole 2 pillows, then with Ramada they lied and now that damage on the room was now me stealing their single serve coffee maker. This is why you create a paper trail, imagine trying to show these accusations and discrepancies and say you did it over the phone. It just doesn't carry the weight that these lovely two emails does. I guess from all the other complaints on reviews here that they have worn out their in mint condition rooms with no damage. Oh and funny thing to close out this review, Yes this place doesn't have elevators, just stairs...but they have paintings on the wall of fancy elevator doors. I saw it on the way back down on the first room and it just felt like they were driving home just how much contempt they have at making their guests happy. Why would anyone steal those coffee makers or their pillows. I checked around online and found nice large, CLEAN pillows at Walmart for under $5 and well I have two coffee makers at home, why would I put my ground coffee in that? The only thing that maker can make is coffee tea bags and well, again why would anyone want that coffee maker. After reading all the reviews there were many that claim they didn't even have a coffee maker in their room! I vacate my room ASAP and I stole the coffee maker? What a joke. They don't seem too concerned more than one room does not have a coffee maker, that's on them. So if you love to be called a liar, be ripped off and be told you just didn't get that Ramada experience! Again if you hsve no choice but to stay here, you should reach out to your bank or credit card issuer and say how best to protect yourself. Again I'm still waiting on that $60 refund because there are so many places to leave my review and I'm on vacation so I have nothing better to do late in the evening but same other people from coming here and finding they are now accusing their patrons of dishonest behavior that only taking more money behind your back will do. I'm not poor or destitute, I have better things to do than take items from the room that don't belong to me. It's bad enough I got very little sleep here, but I guess that doesn't matter. It's either that or the trains, do you love hearing trains nearby all the time? Well I didn't. No one called me to say oh hey did you take our things? Or file a police report. Oh but doing that might backfire, so just run the customer's credit card info thru again, don't tell them, do it behind your back and hope you don't notice. I've been staying at all sorts of places in the last 30 years of my life. This is the first place I've experienced being accused I am a thief. It really isn't worth taking the risk to stay here. I'm sorry doesn't work when you find out they have one of their hands in your wallet while they do. The whole apology I didn't experience what most patrons do, that wonderful Ramada experience. Imagine me filing a police report if I don't get that refund and someone reads the complaint and sees stolen one serve coffee maker you can't use your own ground coffee in, and two pillows and thought, ah $60 is a nice round number. I could get so many brand new cheap pillows and coffee makers for that price. It's almost like they are trying to find a new way to bring cash in. Don't believe an experience can be this bad? Just sort by date on the reviews, you'll notice a large uptick in complaints starting sometime in 2021., They don't care how good or bad your stay is, they have your money and aren't obligated to help you. So for those out there who get treated so poorly as I was, don't just let them take your money. Let other people know! I mean that is why they let us leave reviews. I'll learn the life lesson to stop booking hotels through third parties. The more people I told where I am now, said well that's what you get if you don't book directly. So again if you can't sleep in your car and you have nowhere else to go, at least reach out before using your credit card and ask them what protection against this do they have. I'm waiting Ramada in Kingman, AZ Put back the money you took from my credit card without even asking me, why didn't you call me about this? Everyone will tell you only the hotel itself can issue the refund. Stealing is stealing.…
