It was our first time visiting the Drakensberg area and it was the best decission we made by booking at Qambathi. Our two nights stay was perfect from the point of booking till leaving the lodge. This lodge is build on the land of a former sheep farm. Old buildings with interior mostly design and made by the lodge owners... More

We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed our trip. My review however describes a mixed experience. On the plus side we had a great food and superb service - we were the only people staying! A problem with a water heater was dealt with speedily and efficiently. Accommodation however can best be described as being design over forme. We... More

Highly recommend having a picnic on the wooden deck in the nearby indigenous forest. The kitchen packed us a basic lunch of cheese, cold meats, biscuits and wine. Room was well appointed. Staff were hospitable and friendly. The food was decent. The location is tranquil and beautiful. Decor is pleasing and many pieces are handmade by the owner from local... More

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights of our babymoon at Qambathi Lodge (12-14 June) and we both agree it is definitely one of the best places we've stayed at. We got there tired and a little bit stressed from our hectic lives in Jozi and immediately began to relax!! The rooms are warm, luxurious and comfortable, the food... More

We spent one night at Qambathi, and we really enjoyed it so much. The lodge is 18 months old, so everything is still fresh and new, and it is so beautifully decorated. It has a wonderful vibe and is the perfect place if you just need to escape and relax in a gorgeous surrounding. The lodge's package includes dinner and... More

This small lodge is a gem well worth visiting. There are 5 suites (the three outside the main building are better), with big beds, white cotton linen, ball & claw bath and big shower. it is on a big property, close to the Kamburg mountains and national park - so there is good opportunity to hike and take a picnic.... This has to be the best lodge I have ever visited. Nestled against the Kamberg mountain it is a picture to behold. The quality of the decor and the privacy of each suite makes on feel that you are the only one at the Lodge. Same for the attention to detail from the staff in regard to Food, beverages and... More

We had a fantastic family reunion at the lodge. The bush dinner was one of the many highlights and we all enjoyed the game drive with great views. Food was brilliant, loved the fires even in December!!. Thank you to Stephan and Dwayne and the lodge staff for looking after us. We will certainly come back next year and we... More
