I stayed in Imvubu Lodge for 1 night before connecting with a flight to Johannesburg. I thought that it would be a different option rather than a hotel. I booked a deluxe chalet which holds 6 people. There is one double bedroom with an en-suite, another twin bedded room also with an en-suite and a lounge area with a sofa bed. It has a kitchen area with breakfast bar, microwave and cooking rings with a single oven. There is air conditioning in each bedroom as well as ceiling fans. The chalet has its own barbeque area. There is a nice cocktail bar area near the beach. The beach is not for bathing as there is no life guards and it was very windy when we where there. There is a small pool, but not big enough to do laps, only paddling. The restaurant overlooks the lake area. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was just ok.

Imvubu Lodge is not far from Richards Bay Airport and taxi costs approx R75.00-R80.00.
