“Pleasant hotel in good location opposite Gateway mall and near Umhlanga beach”

This hotel upholds all the Protea standards: well-equipped, spacious rooms (including nice touches like irons and ironing boards) and bathrooms with balconies. 100MB of free wifi is available per day. There is a hotel restaurant (although you are also opposite the mega Gateway shopping mall). Staff are also well-trained: professional and helpful.

“Very nice hotel, close to the airport and massive shopping area!”

Stayed here a couple of night on a recent visit to Durban. The hotel its very modern, good size rooms. Breakfast is very nice. The hotel is next to a massive shopping centre that also has numerous restaurants. The beach is approx. 25 mins away if you decide to walk. There is free wifi but limited to 100 MB.

“Best Honeymoon”

My husband and myself stayed here for our honeymoon December 2012. The hotel is close to gateway mall and all the restaurants however it is a bit of a walk to the beach.
