“Great hotel”

Great hotel located a short walk of +- 400 m from the Gateway shopping centre. The selection at breakfast was very good. Under cover parking in the basement is currently free. The room was modern, functional and well laid out. The beach front in Umhlanga is about about 1,5 km away, but the return is only for the fit.

The Garden Court Umhlanga might be isolated and lacking scenery, but the facilities and service are always superb. It is always my first choice when I am holidaying in KZN, ever since they opened their doors a few years ago. Keep up the wonderful service.

“Great Pity”

I inadvertantly left my cell phone charger in the room when I checked out. On realising this, I called Housekeeping who had no knowledge of such a charger being found by the 'chamber maid'. The moral of the story - the cleaning staff cannot be relied upon to hand in your lost items. What a pity!

If you're doing business in the Gateway area, this property is perfect. It's about 1k from the mall and in the center of many office parks. we stayed here with our 2 kids on a recent trip to Durban. What a great hotel with friendly staff! Breakfast was superb with a nice variety even for vegetarians.
