There aren't many places to stay in Mthatha - there aren't many reasons to stay in Mthatha, but if you have to stay then I would suggest that you looked alittle further. We started out on the wrong footing, as the owners made us feel very small over a minor problem with our booking. When we got to our rooms we found them small, cold and old-fashioned. It was en-suite - in fact the door didn't close so the loo was virtually in the same room. We stayed half-board and the food was poor, overcooked and tasteless. On the up side it was safe, with a guard at all times, clean and the laundry service was excellent, in fact the best thing about our stay. more
