I chose this lodge as it was in the Blyde River Canyon area and showed 4 star rating on their website. I also chose this lodge because of the favourable feedback from tripadvisor. I was disappointed. This not a 4 star establishment. I would grade it as a 3 star. The double room leading onto the patio had a pleasant... More

We stopped at Blyde River Canyon Lodge for two nights as a break between a stay at Mala Mala and our next stop at Letaba in Kruger National Park for a few nights. From the minute we arrived, we felt like we were the lodge's only guests (we later found out that this is how the Lodge team treats all... More

We stayed in the Blyde River Canyon Lodge for one night during our travel to the Krueger National Park. The Lodge is beautifully located in a huge botanical reserve where you have wild animal roaming around. The rooms are ok and nice but nothing special. Dinner was very nice and really tasty in a nice atmosphere on the veranda where... More

we needed a place for only 1 night as a last minute stay over. We came across Blyde River Canyon Lodge, and wish we stayed another night. Great property, scenic location, and the food was excellent. More

we booked this lodge just to split the travel between the airport and our safari in Timbavati. We wished we had the chance to to stay a bit longer in the lodge. The lodge is very nice decorated, great area, great rooms, fantastic personnel, lovely food, and foremost a truly relaxing atmosphere. You feel at home immediately. The area is... More

The staff was very lovely and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and the food was great! We would really recommend a stay at this... More

Owner, Vicky Mittan, is a gem ! A true animal lover, she has created in a relatively short time a glorious Lodge and environs where one is given the warmest welcome both by Vicky and her devoted, friendly staff. Our room was delightful: spacious and well-appointed; the surroundings a joy and the food delicious. It was the perfect place for... More

An 'Out of Africa' lodge at a great price. Upon arrival we were offered a complimentary drink and we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite (at no extra cost). Just in some minutes Vicky made all the necessary arrangements for us to visit the canyon by boat and provided helpful tips on the day of departure. When we arrived in... More

As newcomers to SA, we didn't quite know what to expect from a Lodge (USA Lodges can be pretty basic!) but we were really impressed with the lovely room, lush lounge and incredible balcony where we ate our meals. Hospitality was great and we had fantastic meals - overall extremely good value indeed. The location is beautiful and we enjoyed... More
