What an amazing place. We were fortunate that the game reserve we wanted was hosting a South African Bank convention and so we were up graded to Inkwe Valley. From the moment we arrived we were spoilt. Glasses of sherry while we recovered from the long drive. Quick tour of the facilities, then to the rooms. Not recommended if unfit as they are on a steep slope and have steps from the room to the main house. There is a seat halfway to recover. The rooms are fantastic. Fruit basket and sherry on arrival and a piece of Toblerone on the pillow.
Food was excellent. The sevice was fantastic and the wines could not be faulted. Altough any special wines were extra.
Our guide, Boy, was lovely. He had an excellent sense of humour but I don't think he liked it when I (female) beat him at archery. The game drives were fun but only three of the big five are seen here, buffalo, leopard (very elusive) and rhino. I had my first experience of a quad bike and loved it. We watched the sun go... more
