Loved everything about the lodge, the rondavel (number 5 -- the best position rondavel for looking over the plain at the elephants and wildlife that came to the water hole), the service, the drives, the food, the infinity pool. We were very impressed with pretty much everything at Elephant Plains. Our tracker and guide were both amazing, finding us leopards day after day. We were worried about seeing the big five but saw lions, cape buffalo and an elephant near the end of our 5 day stay. The food was excellent and the cooks were very social and interested... more

This lodge is truly amazing. A very nice welcome and check in, the bungalows are like staying in a 5-star hotel, only private. Safe security electric fence around entire compound to keep you safe. Stayed for 2 nights at the Elephant Plains whilst on safari and really enjoyed it. The accommodation was luxurious, king size bed, large balcony and sitting area, well equipped bathroom with 2 showers (one was outdoors) and a freestanding bath tub looking out onto the watering hole.
