Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

for what you pay you can not ask for luxury, this is a regular motel located in a town, not a very good cleaning on the carpets, breakfast is poor for a european guy like me but it´s what you find in all the motels in America. i say it´s a good value for Money when all you want to do is sleep and get on the road again.

The room isn't that bad. It's clean. Bed hard. No coffeemaker or hair dryer. They are no longer serving breakfast because they are closing in March. Figure that out! Why are they cutting back on amenities now?

I was very happy with this hotel. I stayed two nights. The hotel clerks bent over backwards to assist me. One room was not as nice as another, probably older, but was still acceptable. I would stay there again.

Group stayed here on April 12, 2014. Was very disappointed with the accommodations. Was supposed to be discounted for the group, but ended up $100 for one night! This establishment is not worth that; room was not cleaned properly ( someone else s trash by our bed); bed Very hard; tub badly stained/and rust stains around drain; switch plates dirty; all baseboards filthy and the whole room in much need of repair and maintenance! And, closet area, not one hanger for our use! Room walls not insulated, so could hear neighbors in rooms adjoining! Would not stay nor recommend any of my friends to stay here. Ice maker had been broken for some time, but they did give you ice if you went to the office. With this motel being in a great visitor area - this motel should be closed for complete remodel and maintenance; I took pictures of our room to prove the point. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in 'older' motels - they were clean and neat and comfortable! So, it is possible, but not at this place for now.

We booked this hotel through the net. That went smooth. The teenage girl who checked us in on arrival was pleasant and completed the process in a minimum of time. Our room (#115) was seemed clean. Since it was on the road side, there was quite a bit of street noise on what is a very busy street. What a surprise to see that in addition to the usual toiletries, there was a small tube of toothpaste! The WI-FI signal was weak and my wife had to take her lap top to the office to conduct some business. The biggest issue with this room was maintenance. The TV was old and kept going in and out between an acceptable picture and "snow". This happened frequently on all channels. The other concern was the rooms maintenance. The sheet rock had some small holes in it, the paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, especially above the shower. The bath tub had a broken fixture on the tub. One of the two chairs was broken. When you grabbed the arm to move the chair, the arm came off. Upon examination, I could see that someone had unsuccessfully tried to fix it before. Whomever painted the room last splashed paint all over adjoining surfaces. A bathroom towel bar had been moved, leaving the previous holes in the sheet rock. There is a swimming pool at the property but it is completely taken apart and in pieces. It was apparent that it had been that way for months, if not longer. The bed mattress was very hard. The teenage boy who worked in the office was pleasant. The same cannot be said for an older woman I assume was hit mother. For $100 a night, I expect more of a hotel. I didn't get it.

The adage that you get what you pay for is appropriate here. We just needed a place to sleep while in town for the Pocket Cruisers Convention in mid February and there were few rooms available. We only spent one night there, and it was adequate, safe, and just OK, which was all we needed. Just don't go there expecting a Double Tree or Hampton. In the same circumstances, I'd stay there again, but given the options, I'd pay $40 more for the Hampton.

The price was great, the room was ok, the fridge in the room was a nice amenity, the bed was HARD, no bedbugs found (or any other critters), the walls are thin (could hear the people next door talking easily, which meant they could also hear us), the gentleman who checked us in that night and out the next morning was pleasant but seemed to not know anything about the free room upgrade for ABV members even after I handed him our membership card which states that on the back. Here's the worst part of the stay: the shower head and shower curtain were SERIOUSLY NASTY LOOKING and both needed to be replaced, and I did tell the gentleman who checked us out the next morning. Don't get me wrong. The place is ok to stay and I would probably stay there again in the future. My wife and I don't need fancy places to stay but we do appreciate, and expect, cleanliness. As other reviewers have stated, this place needs a makeover. I know upkeep and updating take money, we own our own business too. But a business needs to set aside money for "makeovers". Even though my rating is only two circles, it could have easily been three or four if the place was updated, fully clean (shower), and more "presentable" inside and out.

this place had high ratings on expedia but I do not know how it got them. The bathroom is equipped with faulty plumbing peeling paint and a loose toilet seat and a very funky surface in the tub.. one of the bed has bare 2x4s supporting it. One good point is the A/C works well.

I spent 14 nights at this motel recently. They've done remodeling this past year. The unit I was in was # 229. It had a queen bed, love seat, TV on the dresser, 2 night stands, a small full-sized refrigerator and microwave plus an eating table with two chairs. Nothing fancy but all I needed (and more actually). The room is spacious --- I had plenty of room for the items I wanted to bring into the room and still get around. THe management is friendly and helpful. The price was why I tried the motel ---- I got it for $27.95 a night, plus tax. THe only thing I would have changed is the bed ---- it really was too hard. I asked for a different mattress or a "topper" or extra blankets to put under the sheets ----anything to make it a little softer. They wouldn't cooperate with any suggetions which disappointed me. I could've changed rooms but I had unloaded many boxes of personal items from my truck to store inside the room while I was there and didn't want to move it all again.................. If you go, I suggest you get a room in the same building I was in because it's one level --- no one over or under your room.

I reserved this hotel through Expedia and was told that there was both a pool and spa outdoors. When we arrived(4/28) we were told that there was no pool. We checked in anyway but after spending the night decided we needed to find a motel that had a pool. Unfortunately the hotel would not honor our request to allow us to check out and get credit for the two nights that we would not have stayed there. We called Expedia but they didn't have our back, so against our will, we stayed for the duration of our reservation. Some of the folks, Ed in particular, were kind and tried to help but management shortsightedly forced us to stay and as a result we can only advise fellow travelers to steer clear of this place.
