We were very disappointed with our stay at Hippo Hollow. When we checked in the bed in our room was covered in ants. We went back to reception who suggested we check the room next door...same problem. We only stayed here two nights sadly. Food was excellent, staff were very helpful, accomodation was great. Viewed hippos by the river and at our room window and glimpsed crocs in the river. We arrived directly from Johannesburg airport and the place is just fantastic. Beautiful rooms and accommodation. Nice service. A good restaurant. A visit of 4 hippos between first and second services. The area around is really unique. We only regret that we stayed there only one night. more
