We really liked Sanbonani. OK, so it's a good 40km or more from the KMI Airport and easily 5 minutes drive away from Hazyview shopping centre, so hiring a car is 'a must', but if you're in this area you are most likely going to be driving around the Kruger, etc, anyway! Great trip ro Sanbonani last year close to Kruger Park nice newly renovated chalets by river went out at night to find hippos only to find large footprints in front of balcony in the morning, however 4th night saw 2 hippos i n front of chalet, also enjoyed little monkeys by the pool didn,t eat at restaurant in hotel only... more

Resort offers timeshare chalets and hotel suites. Good restaurants and a great swimming pool. The grounds are immaculate and very "African". Resort is bordered by two rivers, the Sabi and the Sand Rivers, and they are quite lovely. Interesting signs posted on the grounds - beware of hippos, and no feeding the monkeys.
