“Good for safari, bad for friendliness”

The bad news: staff are not really helpful and the hostel is too far from everything, so you must take a taxi to go anywhere. On the positive side, the garden is nice, food is fine, facilities are OK, rooms are cheap, and the safari they offer is really great value. A real backpacker hostel, we liked staying there. more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel and on the Kruger tour they provide. The hostel has a range of rooms (all v basic but clean and functional). The bar is a nice area to socialise and meet other travellers.

The Kruger tours provided by the hostel (1 - 3 days) are v v good. You stay in tents so it's not the ultimate in luxury but the staff at the camp are lovely, the food is plentiful and you spend lots of time on safari each day so really make the most of your time. more
