This is a very nice building in a lovely setting, but the service leaves a great deal to be desired. Our group was welcomed in a very friendly way, but ongoing service did not reflect this initial friendliness. Dinner was very slow, though ok tasting. At breakfast the chef walked around, looking chef-ly, but nobody went around to offer more... more

Fantastic location with wonderful views. Wonderful walks in the forest. Great log fires in the bedrooms in the evening. Pilgrim's Rest village remains a good place to visit. However, compared to previous visits over many years, the hotel rooms and bathrooms are looking rather tired and dated, and are in need of updating and redecoration.
