Our check in was delayed, which was very irritating, but after getting seated for lunch and then a leisurely amble to our room it was all fine.
The rooms are spacious, luxurious and well equipped and should satisfy even the most fastidious person.
The bed and giant bath with a view (more on that later) were excellent..
We briefly relaxed then went on our evening game drive which was just o.k., and luckily we had excellent sightings of an adult male Serval who casually posed for us, and a spotted genet on the hunt, and a 2 second glimpse of a cheetah. We also had an inquisitive rhino that was on his way to observe us having sundowners, otherwise it was pretty average. We were on our 12th Safari so possibly having higher expectations.
We missed the morning game drive so decided to sit in the Jacuzzi before breakfast and watch the game go by, except!!!!, the only view that we actually had was through a 15 degree opening towards the water hole at the lodge. I remember... more
