A lovely lodge in a wonderful reserve. The chalet looked out on to the reserve and we could not see the other chalets so it was very private and it felt we had the place to ourselves. Very comfortable. The mosquito nets were a surprise as it is a non malerial area but I suspect they are more for effect.... more

What a great lodge and what a lovely game reserve. Friends and I spent 2 nights in the lodge and they were a real highlight of our trip. The staff were amazing, so friendly, couldn't do enough for you and made the whole experience truly magical. Breakfast lunch and dinner were all served in the beautiful main dining room and... more

The most wonderful experience, this game lodge in Pilanesburg national park hits the spot. Food is mixed-breakfast and afternoon tea is great, dinner a slight let down but the all round experience more than makes up for it. The standard rooms are all delighful with hot outside showers-a real treat. They are individual very smart huts with balconies and large... more

Great Place. The Chalet is unforgetable. The extra bed on the veranda and the bath with view on the bushveld was great. I think I've never slept on a wider bed. In 3 days we saw the big 4 (no buffalo) and the seeing with the leopard walking beside our vehicle was really nice. The food is good , but... more

Just returned from the Ivory Tree Lodge. First thing to point out is the good level of service, after 3 weeks in South Africa, the service was by far the best we have experienced in this country were you have to be VERY patient with the staff… The hotel is next to the Pilanesberg reserve so the location is ideal.... more

We were a team of some fifteen sportsmen and women who were preparing for international competition a week or so after our visit to Ivory Tree, and we came to the lodge for some relaxation before we set about our competitions in Bloemfontein. Ivory Tree was the ideal place for us. The rooms were comfortable, there was no TV, there... more

Stayed here for 1 night to experience Pilanesburg reserve and had a wonderful time. The accommodation is well maintained and somewhat private and cosy with good amenities, comfy beds - best sleep in South Africa - and a great bath. But what you really go for are the game drives, which were great and Pilanesburg is so pretty, especially in... more

What a treat for a first time safari experience! We could only get a room for one night, as the Lodge was fully booked, but we were able to do an evening and early morning bush drive and experienced so many wonderful moments which will remain with us forever. We stayed there in November 2008, and many of the animals... more
