We arrived at Inverdoorn early afternoon, just in time for a late lunch after we checked into our chalet. The lunch was great in the little rondavel, where other guests were finishing off their day safari. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and the service was absolutely fantastic. Before going on our first game drive, we had plenty of... more

A huge advantage of Inverdoorn is that it's reachable from downtown Cape Town in about 2 1/2 hours. Though you can take a day trip, I suggest an overnight. It's a very pretty drive, particularly via the N1 tunnel. Once there, the animals are great. This is not Kruger - Inverdoorn has 3 of the big 5 (lion, buffalo, and... more

We booked a two nights stay but after one night decided not to stay longer. We are frequently visiting ZA (9 x) and this was the worst experience in all these years. The chalet is not very luxerious compared the price you are paying for it. The bathroom needs some renovation. The food is terrible, compared the food you can... more

We stayed 5 days in one of the chalets. Very clean and comfortable room and good bathroom., with turndown service each evening. General manager was very much in evidence, overseeing everything. All staff was extremely helpful and professional. Food was very good and plentiful. Lots of fresh veggies, and lamb stew was delicious. Wilna and Trevor brought two cheetas to... more

We stayed at Inverdoorn for 2 nights as part of our South African honeymoon. The staff were excellent, the food was plentiful, the facilities luxurious and the safari experience unforgettable. Dean and Wilma, our rangers were very knowledgeable and personable and we saw lots of amazing creatures during our stay. more

We booked a 24 hour rate, so after a 3 hour car trip from Camps bay with the last half hour on dirt road we arrived at Inverdoorn and were greeted by the manager. He showed us around the resort and to our Luxury Villa. We had lunch under the trees, swim in the pool, 5pm Safari, Dinner under the... more

We wanted to do something special to mark our daughter's 21st birthday and were in the process of booking a day trip to another game reserve when we read the negative comments about it on tripadvisor - one of which recommended the slightly longer journey to Inverdoorn. We have visited the Kruger and Pilanesberg National Parks in the past and... more

We spent two days at Inverdoorn and loved it. The whole experience was unlike anything we had ever done before. We completed two safaris while we were there and were able to see rhinos, buffalos, springboks and walk with giraffes. We were also able to get up close to the cheetahs on the reserve and have a tame cheetah greet... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Inverdoorn for a night in early May as part of a longer holiday in the Western Cape. The reserve is in a beautiful and very remote location, about three hours' drive from Cape Town. We stayed in one of the private chalets, which was very comfortable and nicely decorated, although the bathroom was tired... more

We booked a room in one of the guesthouses. When we arrived we were really looking forward to the safaris and our stay, as we booked 2 safaris during these holidays and had allready done 1 night near to Oudtshoorn. The room was small, it smelt horribely and the bath was more than old and needing to be renovated. After... more
