We have just spent a week here on our african sojourn. It is a little kick back to yesterdays. You can explore or just relax in the place. Marley and lisa will help you with maps, food and ideas for cape town. Now back in Scotland we miss the place. If travelling in the cape you'll find shelter from storm... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in early November. Received a very warm welcome even though we arrived relatively early and were shown straight to the room. Staff, and Malie in particular, couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble in terms of checking weather forecasts, checking Robben Island tours, advising on places to go and how to get... more

I would never normally write a review about a hotel, but this hotel is most definetely worth it. We arrived on our Honeymoon to the Cape Riviera, we were greeted by the manager Malie who was nothing but helpful. The hotel knew we were arriving early in the morning so had our room ready. After our 12 hour flight, Malie... more

Spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon here, very welcoming staff on arrival. We were tired because of an overnight flight so we parked the car in the underground garage and the staff organised a taxi down to the V&A waterfront and recommended various restaurants - all good. Room was beautiful with a breathtaking view of the city one... more

Cape Riveria was a fantastic place to base ourselves in Cape Town. We originally booked for two nights but quickly extended that to six over a two week period (we were travelling a bit around SA). All of the staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Malie is a true credit to the guesthouse, she couldn't have done more for... more

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Cape Riviera. The rooms were lovely as were the common areas. The best part , though, was the staff. They were friendly and went out of their way to make our time in Cape Town wonderful. They even went to the local store to buy items for my special diet. That... more

It was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and feel at home. Malie is so fabulous! We hated to leave, but we will return soon. The original guest house is beautiful and the newer guest house in the rear of the porperty was wonderful and... more

We stayed at the Cape Riviera on the first 2 nights of a 2 week golfing trip, and I would recommend it to anyone. It is located at the foot of Table Mountain. The rooms are large and very comfortable with views of the Bay, if you have a room at the front, or Table Mountain if you have one... more

My wife and I went to South Africa for the first time this June and our first introduction to that country came in Cape Town. We had done some research and found a Guesthouse called the Cape Riviera Guesthouse, located 10 minutes or so from downtown Cape Town. It was one of our best stops during our vacation. The location... more

Agree with the other reviewer the Cape Riviera is a fab place to stay. Most of the rooms have wonderful views to the sea in front and Table mountain behind. It isn't far from the trendy bars and restaurants area of Kloof Nek and only 10 mins taxi drive from the Waterfront. Based in a residential area means the hotel... more
