The location is superb with a 5 mins safe walk to the front. The staff are very helpfull and attentive but not to over the top. Ours was a garden room the inside was very comfortable but the outside really lets it down , we had 2 chairs and a little table which were very old and uncomfortable and a large settee which was unusable as it was terribly stained and in poor condition , this is thing that lets the the hotel down , for 270 pound a night you expect to be able to relax outside your room. To be fair the outside needs tlc with broken tiles and tatty fence panels etc. It was sold to us as first class botique hotel , if it was sold to us as a 3 to 4 star middle class hotel it would have been better with us not having high expectations

Lovely relaxed three nights in the Sea Five Hotel. It’s small and feels very individual, staff were great and it’s perfectly placed. Ours was a large garden room, well decorated although it could have done with a bit more seating. Being on the ground floor kept it cool during the heat of the day and we had access to a seating area outside in the garden which was a nice place to drink the complementary beer from the mini bar! Breakfast was very good especially the home made seeded bread. We went to Table Mountain which is a ten minute drive away meaning you can get there relatively early, beating all the coach parties and only having a short wait at the cable car. The V&A water front is only 20 minutes away and Camps Bay itself has lots of decent restaurants to choose from with great sunsets and a very sandy beach. The area felt safe and there was no problem walking about in the evening. Be aware it is not easy to find, you get to the road and then the Sea 5 is not easy to spot as there is no sign just a low key plaque on the wall with the number 5 with a “C” as background.

A lovely hotel which is beautifully decorated throughout, in a superb location overlooking the sea and up towards Table Mountain, and within walking distance of many bars and restaurants along the sea front. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with their personal attention making guests feel special. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Breakfasts were superb, with the choice of fruit the best we had during our stay in South Africa. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel for those wishing for a very special stay in Camps Bay.

Stayed at Sea Five at the end of our honeymoon as wanted to get the feel for Camps Bay. Location is perfect being so close to the beach, and to all the restaurants and bars. Our room had a lovely view out towards the sea, which was spacious and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly during our stay and helpful. One thing to note however is that it did take a bit of time to find the place as there is no sign outside that says Sea Five (though looking back the number 5 in front of a seashell should have given it away). Also, the front door isn’t the most obvious so took us a bit of time to locate.

After gaining entry to Sea Five by intercom the first thing you see are two flights of stone stairs, which were a bit daunting after a twelve hour flight or I imagine would be if you had mobility problems. However, the welcome we received from Cyndy and staff was very warm and there were many hands to help carry our bags. Once inside, the whole feeling of the place is one of light and space, and I can imagine if the weather was warm and sunny, with the doors open onto the pool and small deck it would be ideal. Unfortunately our first day there was very cold and windy, and we felt more in need of a hot water bottle! We had a garden room on the ground floor, which was great as the Wi-Fi worked in our room, whilst I understand it doesn’t in the upper rooms. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc, with a good choice of hot dishes to follow if required. Sea Five is ideally situated, only a five minute walk from the main beach road where many cafes, restaurants and bars can be found, but also far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful at night. We also felt very safe in the Camps Bay Area, in fact I thought it the ideal area to stay in Cape Town, with a magnificent beach and crashing waves that you could watch for hours. The staff could not do enough for you, always smiling, and were helpful confirming our car hire for us. There is a free mini bar in the room, containing wine and beer and soft drinks, plus fresh milk for either tea or coffee (a nespresso machine) All in all, this was a great place to begin our holiday in South Africa. Thank you to Cyndy and all her staff for making our stay such a pleasant one.

We arrived to Sea Five to the lovely surprise that we had been upgraded. The rooms are gorgeous, big spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, so clean and very well stocked. Location is great to Camps Bay and just a short drive to the V&A waterfront. The hotel may be small but it was so relaxing and peaceful, a perfect start to our adventure through South Africa. Cyndy and the staff were all so pleasant. Breakfast each morning was delicious, everything was made fresh to order. Highly recommend Sea Five, no complaints

What a gem this is. Such personal service in an hotel with only 7 rooms, we felt part of the family. Cyndy and her team are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We had an ocean view room which was really good and saw amazing sunsets from our balcony. The room was of good size with lovely decor. The bed was so comfortable and the towels were so soft and white, both the best. The breakfast was pretty good, not the best eggs royale we have had, but the omelettes were amazing. The hotel is affected by the load shedding but this did not detract from our experience in any way.

Sea Five is in a stunning position beneath Table Mountain and the Lions Head, in a quiet residential area close to the sea front. The hotel offers very personal yet discreet service in top class accommodation. Breakfasts were excellent although more limited than large hotels. Rooms were very comfortable with mini bar stocked daily at no extra cost. The small pool offered comfortable loungers looking towards the sea.
