We stayed here in November for 3 nights and recommend this place highly. It is a high standard, very new and exceptionally clean 3 star guesthouse. The location is very good, right next to the Parliament and close to the city centre and bars / restaurants. There is a homely shared kitchen which was also spotlessly clean.

The price is right, in the center of things. Excellent staff !!! Not a great neighborhood after nightfall, but what big city is? We would come back. Easy to talk to folks in the communal kitchen. Laundry was easy. Got some extra pillows. Bob Klass, Sacramento California, 60 years old.

It is in a good location in town, close to the castle, parlament, company gardens and long street, the nightlife area. It is very clean and comfortable, I warmly suggest it. Very useful the laundry service and the well organized and tidy common kitchen.

Scalabrini is an excellent choice in Cape Town's City Bowl. It is conveniently located, clean and safe. The real bonus is getting to meet the staff and other travelers who choose to work and stay here. Sort of like a grown up hostel. I really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed briefly at Scalabrini, and really really liked it. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, close to lots of things to do in the city, and very ethical: all their profits go to support their community development work. One of the best places we stayed in SA. All in all, very recommended.
