Le Vendome. Your view is of bird poop on rooftops, and you listen to the seagull cries. Everything felt fairly small. Breakfast was good, but not great. If you have a choice, stay at Cape Grace or Table Bay. more

What a great place ! Me and my wife stayed 6 nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was a De Luxe one great in size as in decor, served twice a day with full linen changes. The breakfast was just great and as I travel the world searching for good food, trust me. Staff were all nicest with a... more

We came to Cape Town with the impression that we would be staying at a hotel with a similiar style to Parisian hotels. We were terribly dissapointed. What the staff were wearing were dirty and the place is in desperate need of a renovation. We usually use 'The Small Leading Hotels of the World' as a guideline and we were... more

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel Le Vendome in Cape Town - We were booked in a Luxury King Classic room which was not only spacious and immaculate but extremely well appointed. From what I could gather, the hotel has recently been refurbished as everything was in a fine condition. Our room was equipped with... more

After a journey from Auckland via Sydney and Jo'burg non-stop, anywhere to lie down would have been a result! But... the Vendome, although not in the most promising location at first sight, was a pleasant surprise. Service and quality overall were well above average and although it is not a seaside holiday hotel suitable for families who want to hit... more

A nice hotel well kept and clean.I had one of the best Christmas lunches here with complimentary champagne and yorkshire puddings as good as Aunt Bessies.Breakfast and dinner excellent standard ,however a poor selection of wine if you want to buy it by the glass, and service here impeccable. A good pool that is clean and kept that way and again... more

As the other reviewer said, this is clearly not the same hotel that 'Disgruntled of Glasgow' stayed in. Le Vendome is beautiful; the rooms are great, well sized, the staff are exceptional and the food fine. This is NOT a boring, standard chain hotel - it is a chic boutique hotel that fully deserves its five stars. The staff are... more

Just to say that we have stayed at this Hotel for 1 week and have never had such good service from everyone in the hotel - from cleaners all the way up to the owner. Food was excellent, rooms and hotel immaculate. What made the holiday was the staff - always at hand, offering good advice and never too busy... more

After reading some of the other recent reviews I cannot believe that we are talking of the same hotel. Surely people cannot blame a hotel when the tour operator moves accommodation??!! I found that Hotel Le Vendome is a very professional, well run, fantastically managed hotel. The warmth and luxury of the hotel is evident once you walk through the... more

We stayed at Le-Vendome because our other accomadation was cancelled at the last minute, the pool was more like a plunge pool, not enough seating, the rooms were clean but a lot of rooms had no balconys, the evening meals, there were no variation and food left uncovered for to long, although the staff was very friendly, beach about 50... more
