I found the decor and rooms at Brenwin very tired and in desperate need of upgrading. It was noisy, and the bathrooms were miniscule. Showers above an ancient, damaged bath do not qualify as full bathrooms, in my opinion. Worst of all, I could not get a decent cup of tea, although my daughter said the coffee was not bad.... more

The Brenwin was the first place we stayed in after a long flight from Scotland and it certainly set the standard. Amongst the hustle and bustle of Cape Town we had our own quiet, idyllic retreat which had a swimming pool and a picnic area which was surrounded in lots of flora and fauna to kick back and relax. Our... more

This was our second hotel in Cape Town, and by far our favorite. It was such a gorgeous place to turn up to, with a nice walled swimming pool near the entrance, and some very cute dogs too! Our room was fantastic, with TV and a nice ensuite. There was loads of space in the room, and the breakfast there... more

I didn't like the guesthouse. The rooms are not so modern anymore and there is no nice decoration in the room. Furthermore the logistics rond breakfast could be better. If you came at 9, most of the time most of the nice things were already gone. more

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at Brenwin Guest House,. The staff were very helpful and most friendly. The pool and outdoor areas were very well kept and the shadey garden a boom during a very hot spell. Breakfast included everything you could want, served in a lovely airey dining room or outside balcony overlooking the garden. The beds... more

My sincerest recommendations. Good location. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent breakfast. Silent, comfortable, clean room/apartement. Pleasant athmosphere. The only thing that bothered us was the sliding door to the small bathroom. But other things made up for that, like the private little patio and above all the staff who made efforts to make us fell welcome and comfortable. Also,... more

As it seems with the other reviews the room in which we stayed was in the added on building to the back of the house and was a flashback to the early eighties in terms of decor! The room was clean but basic and from quick glances of the other rooms in the house I would agree that these rooms... more

On the whole a good place to stay - lovely pool area, easy walk to the V and A Waterfront, good breakfasts and friendly helpful staff. I agree with other reviewers that you should check your room if possible. We had one that was off the main living room/breakfast room - it was very noisy late at night when people... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our honeymoon. The staff were very helpful in calling taxis, making reservations and bookings. The breakfast was more than abundant with a wide variety to choose from. Whilst our room was very comfortable the bathroom door was of the sliding type which made lots of noise when opening/closing - no... more
