We had 4 nts here as part of a rugby tour & were quite satisfied. A 15/20 min walk to the Waterfront but on the Red route for the Sightseeing bus. We were advised not to walk out at night but did so in groups & had no problems. Plenty of security people during the day on every street corner.... more

This is a down-to-earth hotel with cosy rooms providing all the basic necessities. In fact, the room we were given was very spacious. (Our tour leader told us that we were given one of the more spacious rooms.) Breakfast was satisfactory and service was good. On the whole, a very comfortable hotel. No complaints. more

Being on a business trip to Cape town this hotel is ok. The place is very much crowded with tourists, and in this respect looks much like a "Holiday inn". Rooms are clean and of a reasonable size. Location is good not to far away from the waterfront. All in all recomended for holiday travelers, but is to noisy to... more

We had one night at the Cape Town Lodge at the end of April having already spent 4 nights in an apartment on the Atlantic seaboard. I was worried it would be a let down after 4 nights in a gorgeous water view apartment but it was not a let down at all. We arrived a bit early and the... more

Good hotel with a nice room. No complaints at all. Cars organised by the hotel offer a fixed cost, and leather seats. Perfect if you expect to be jammed in traffic going up to Table Mountain in summer, as it works out cheaper than a metered taxi. Too far to walk to the V&A Harbour - would have been about... more

We just loved this hotel the moment the taxi dropped us off outside after a long flight. The staff at the reception were polite and efficient and made us feel very welcome. They even arrange day trips for you if required, Breakfast was a very good selection and plentifull. Our room was available for us well before the expected time... more

This was our first hotel of our month long holday and we enjoyed Capetown very much. The hotel ideally placed for the waterfront and the cable car and having read the reviews about it asked for a Table Mountain View Room which we were given and it was a wonderful room. Spacious and airy with the most wonderful view of... more

We got a good rate, and with it's convenient location, this hotel seemed like a good choice. Whilst the beds were comfortable, the shower good and powerful, and the decor interesting, I wouldn't reccomend this to fellow travellers. My problems started at check-in, when the staff just wanted to get rid of us, rather than give us the information we... more

Cape Town Lodge is close to the Parliament and its on the main road. Its functional, clean and the rooms are a decent size but its like staying in a large travel chain hotel. At a mid-price this was OK but I would recommend staying in Camps Bay, not in Cape Town CDB! more

We stayed in this hotel for 9 nights, from the entrance it doesnt look that much but inside is so impressive, VERY clean, tidy and well presented was my first impression and the bell boys on the doors waiting for you is a lovely welcome, there is about 8 floors to this hotel and most of teh rooms are very... more
