spent a week at the ritz, i was a bit sceptical about this hotel having read some of the reviews. We arrived very late at night (delayed flight) but it was very simple to drive to from the airport and the staff were very efficient in checking us in. We were very disappointed with the room that we were given,... more
i had a very enjoyable 2 nights in this hotel - the highest in Cape Town. In particular the rotating restaurant on the 15th. floor, which gives views all over the Green Point district. The kitchens delivered up a superb fillet steak and crepe Suzette meal with excellent preparation and service. I booked online several months before visiting in May... more
I booked this all inclusive holiday mainly for the kids, to avoid all the additional costs! What a lovely hotel, clean, comfortable and the staff all very friendly. The food was second to none and so much of it! Really good value for money. I would definitely go back there but unlikely to, only because I like to try new,... more

The Ritz... more

But its got a scattering of ok restaurants and shops nearby and its only a 40 ZR taxi ride to the... more

You really do get what you paid for here. The reception had at least 2 people per day complaining about their rooms, but we only... more
We actually stayed a couple of years before 2006 (the oldest date allowed by TripAdvisor) and the place might well have changed drastically but I think it's fair to point out that when we stayed there - on the recommendation of a South African travel agent - the place was running downhill fast. The week we were staying there coincided... more
Stayed in Cape Town March 8th and arrived late. Therefore decided to choose a cheaper hotel although good rated at tripadvisor. The choise fell on the economy room of about 50 EUR. The expectations were not set high due to the price but yet there was disappointment. The door was a thin old door with a very poor lock. The... more
