Stayed here for 5 nights in March 09. Great location right near the waterfront for shopping, restaurants etc. and we had a great time. Food fairly basic but good quality and staff helpful and friendly. Room was large and clean with a decent bathroom but the style of decor in the room did let it down, although this is obviously... more

We had the best time at this hotel. We stayed and week and hated to leave. The staff is wonderful, always accomadating. The food was fantastic. We had many meals at the hotel because it was so good. The rooms were nice and very clean. The spa was a must! We will definitley stay again. Loved it! more

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an amzaing time. We were just 3 minutes walk from the waterfront and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean and the service excellent. We were helped to plan trips and order taxis. We ate in the restaurant for the candlelight diner for the Earth Hour and the food was... more

The hotel is always spotlessly clean and there are plenty of staff. Pool is small but as mainly business hotel not usually a problem getting a spot. Breakfast service patchy depending on how many people in hotel. They struggle when full - waited 40 minutes for toast 1 day 2 Minute walk to the Waterfront and much cheaper than actual... more

I've stayed here before (on my own) and really like it. It's not too big, it has a friendly athmosphere, and the staff is accommodating. The patio is nice with a pool. Try to ask for a room facing the court if you're at a low level, as the traffic outside can be loud. Breakfast is not awesome but good... more

Our fifth visit to Cape Town and we would certainly stay at this hotel again just a couple of minutes walk to the waterfront. The staff were all so helpful, especially the guy on the travel desk who organised all our trips for us and booked restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent and we booked room service one night which... more

We visited Commodore from 27th January 2009 to 11th February 2009. Very helpful and extremely attentive staff. Rooms ok bathrooms especially showers need attention. Service although first class apart from breakfast. Staff slow to respond buffet very basic more fresh fruit would be appreciated. Maybe service better outside than inside. Overall the hotel is very well staffed with quick and... more

I started my honeymoon at the commodore and was upgraded by the staff at check-in. The room was small but nice and had an excellent view of the table mountain. If not for the view, it would have been a pretty average room. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was awesome, being only... more

Excellent location 2 mins walk from V&A with its many restaurants shops & bars, 5 Mins drive from downtown and 15 mins drive from Camps Bay. The hotel service was excellent made most welcome by all the staff. Good choice at breakfast which even pleased the Americans. Valet parking was very good also. From our balcony we could see the... more
